about Chin Friction

Chin Friction is an eight-piece rock band, including a horn section that has been rocking the North Shore and Boston for over 35 years with catchy originals from Jim Parisella, with inspiration from classic rock legends. Chin Friction was formed in 1985 by Jim 'Bone' Parisella (vocals/guitar) with Rick Mooney (bass/sax) and Mark Tarricone (drums/vocals). Band members include: Scott Lantych, Saul Cohen, Sarah Lantych, Jack Tarricone, and Bill Beckman.

GeneraChins of Chins have reinvigorated the band. This required 20+ years to raise our kids that have added artistic, musical, and business skills that continue to carry us forward!

What’s with the name?

The name Chin Friction pays homage to the multiple Chin BONKs of the Three Stooges. Classic Moe and Curly’s physical and comedic humor and our own Chin-anigans resulted in the Chin Friction name being established circa 1980!
